Just as BLUeCommerce supports the diverse searching preferences of all your customers, it also accomodates various browsing preferences:
- The list view is the best all-around view, giving equal prominence to product information and images. The view is comprehensive, including a full image of each product, its name, a description, price, and extra product options.
- The condensed view is ideal for customers who care more about a product's specs than its appearance. This view is also comprehensive but it displays the most products at once because it's tabular, uses smaller fonts, and it doesn't display a product's image unless the customer mouses over its image icon.
- In contrast to the condensed view, sometimes looks are everything so customers who want, for instance, the best looking jacket will love the photos view. It displays each product's large thumbnail, but only with its name and price; the lengthy description and product options are omitted, allowing more products to be displayed on the page at once than the default list view.
- The gallery view, similar to the photos view, gives more prominence to each product's image, but it also displays the first 20 words of the product's description--enough text to let the customer decide whether to click the item and read more about it.
